General Description

Model CST-1025 Competition Slot Timer has been designed to address the requirements of flying clubs and organisations who require a reliable system to provide set time durations for competitors. The unit integrates several important functions into a single convenient package, including optional PA features.   The basic model contains a microcontroller based timer circuit referenced to a quartz crystal, a large clear LCD display and a low level audio output for an external PA system. The user can select from standard pre-programmed time slots of 8, 10, 12 and 15 minutes, and warning tones are output when the countdown periods reach 2 minutes, and then 10 seconds. In addition, the user can program any time slot up to 59 minutes for other types of competition. All time settings are shown on the LCD display which can also be used to display pre-programmed advertising messages for clubs.   As an option, an integral 100 watt PA amplifier can be fitted and supplied with four high efficiency horn loudspeakers for mast mounting and 360˚ coverage, more than adequate to cover a large flying field. A further option adds a microphone input to allow superimposed voice announcements and commentary in addition to the tone outputs. What’s more, the complete system has been designed to run from a standard 12V automotive battery, making it ideal to transport and set up quickly at any location.   For further details on specification, special options and packaging, please see overleaf.
