General Description

Model TSD-2010 Telecom Signal Distribution Unit is designed to provide multiple buffered signal outputs from a single input. Applications might typically include the distribution of a single demodulator output to various signal processing and analysing equipment or demultiplexers. The use of our active splitter technology means the unit is capable of handling most common bipolar coded data signals from below 1k.bits/s up to 155M.bits/s.   The standard unit comprises a low profile 1U high 19” rack mount enclosure with a power switch on the front panel and all connections on the rear, and is available with 2 to 12 outputs with connector types specified by the Customer. Larger systems with additional outputs, or multi-channel units with 2 or more active splitter boards in a single enclosure, can be supplied upon request.   All outputs are back-terminated for high stability when driving capacitive loads and provide a nominal 0dB gain with a choice of 75ohm, 50ohm or custom specified impedance. There is also provision for isolation of outputs by means of front panel switches or remote control via a wide range of interfaces.   For further details on specification, special options and packaging, please see overleaf.
