The development phase of our PSU-2099/001 Intelligent Multi-Output AC/DC-DC Switch Mode Power Supply Unit is nearly complete with the second prototype testing and thermal optimisation in the final stages. The third and final production standard PCB revision will shortly be under way ready for compliance testing and initial demo units, with availability commencing this summer.
The PSU-2099 is a compact, high-performance SMPSU designed to complement the latest receivers and down-converters, and forms part of the CSS Caddy Series of equipment for small/remote installations, unmanned platforms and automated test systems. It accepts 85-264VAC at 47-63Hz or 38-55VDC for worldwide operation. AC/DC input is automatically selected on power detection with preference given to AC and automatic fall-back to DC if AC power fails.
The unit has 6 output positions each of which can be pre-configured for 1-15VDC using internal pluggable output modules each providing up to 80W, max 300W total across all outputs. The unit features programmable start-up sequencing, and outputs can be turned ON/OFF independently under remote control.
Configuration, control and BITE monitoring is by SCPI format commands over Ethernet or RS232/TTL level serial, integrated browser GUI and SNMP.
A rear panel Micro-D SER/AUX connector provides the RS232/TTL level serial interface plus eight TTL level GPIO pins which can be addressed as an 8-bit port through remote commands to control or monitor external equipment.
